Devil’s Tongue Habanero Chili Peppers and Other Habs

Habanero chili peppers are a favorite of R’s and he is definitely the mastermind when it comes to growing and using them in recipes.  When we couldn’t keep up with huge amount of devil’s tongues, eerie Caribbean hotties, we decided to dry them in the sun and in low oven temperatures, then blend the dried chilis into useful powder for many dishes.  Whether freshly minced or dried and powdered, habaneros add a powerful oomph to any recipe.
